The Challenge
Rubbermaid® Commercial Products' Mobile Marketing Truck fleet wanted a "Wow factor" to draw people into their on-site visits and aid in presentation of product awareness and education. With an enormous product portfolio, RCP couldn't fit every product in their mobile marketing trucks. We recommended creating a mobile sales app that would act as a virtual product catalog. An interactive product demo with supporting educational media. The presentation needed to work on large interactive touchscreens and tablets, allow for remote content updates and display their immense product portfolio.
The RCP mobile marketing truck fleet takes their products to the customers' doorsteps
An interactive product catalog application was created to aid in educating the event attendees on-site and in-person
The software application works seamlessly on tablets as well as touch-screen monitors
Content can be remotely controlled, updated and published to the onsite devices via WiFi hubs installed on the trailer fleet.
A Full-Service Effort
From the initial discussion to ongoing support, The Scylla Group provided insight and guidance on hardware, networking, and software selection. We helped the team find the right gear, as well as install the hardware and software onto the fleet.
We not only created a great presentation that can be used on multiple devices and screen resolutions, we also streamlined application maintenance by setting up a centralized content management system with over-the-air Wi-Fi updates. This way the product information is always up-to-date with minimal effort by the road crew.
The virtual catalog features pre-selected product options based on the location and service industry type of the event. Product specifications, video, marketing materials and interactive decision guides help sales members and potential customers align their needs and educate them on potential cost savings.
